It's the most wonderful time of the year...

And no I'm not meaning Christmas...
I mean that time when summer is ended and autumn is starting to get into the swing on things. The leaves are changing colour and slowing starting to cover the ground.

My most favourite thing about this time of year is that I get to wear all my favourite colours and clothes. Open my wardrobe and it's a sea of burgundy, greys and black. My boyfriend hates how I always dress in such dark colours but it's what I feel comfortable in-I like to blend in, not stand out.

Having a giggle right now as I write this (I'm in a car waiting for my bf) I'm wearing grey trousers, black top and a burgundy and black cardigan.

Who cares what I wear, where I wear it, how I wear it, when I wear it.
I loves it.

Diary of oneself

Oh heyyyyy!

Long time no see. Decided to download the old bit 'blogger' so I can tell some stories. Although looking at my past posts they were quite 'bloggery' and I really just wanted to start typing, have a rant, have a cry, get it all out the system and be done with it. But I fear this may bring the tone down of my blog.
Bothered though.

Inspiration came from Sprinkle of Glitter who is supplying us with a diary type blog the past few days which I like. I always say I'll start a diary but then again I know my life is so uber boring and every day is the same so why bother?

But now I've got to the stage where I'm 27 and having a right good teenage strop/cry about life these days. Therefore I have decided that I should just get it all out of my system by writing it down. Let it all out instead of keeping it to myself and worrying over it.

So this could come as a pre warning perhaps, to maybe ignore the next few weeks of blog posts from myself as let's face it-they will probably be negative and only bring the mood down!

P.s. I got the job that was mentioned previous. Turns out the worst interview ever ended up being the best! :)

Bargain alert!

In my hunt for a new bronzer I have come across this beaut of a bargain.

Let me share the little beauty...

Bourjois bronze Up kit is available through asos in their sale section. The kit is already advertised as a saving of 34% compared to buying the product individually but it is also in the sale section for £13.00 down from £17.50. I know the bronzer pallet and blush alone is worth £15 so it's definitely a good buy!

Included you get the Delice De Bronze pallet in shade 52 (which is a favourite all round), a blush in no. 35 Lune d'or, a 3d effects gloss in Brun Exotic, a mini eye pencil in 44 and a ill mini powder brush.

The gloss is quite a bronzed nude, I think the golden shimmer in it darkens it but when applied to the lips it looks nude. The eyeliner is like a khaki green colour which, when layered, can darken-think that's why it's came out quite dark.

The bronzer is more orangey toned I would say than really dark. I was abit worried but when applied to my face it just looks like any bronzer. Phew. And the blusher is swatched next to the bronzer but my camera just couldn't pick up on it at all. I would say its definite a highlighter than a blush and the shimmer in it makes it a perfect highlighter.

Overall I would defo pop over to asos and make this purchase if u were looking for a new bronzer. It's a great little kit. And a good price too.

Crying infront of strangers...

It's ok guys I didn't have a breakdown on the high street infront of loads of people.
What I did do was something which was most amazing and I have always wanted to do.

I went to a Drive-in cinema. The real deal. Massive screen. In your car. Eating popcorn. Freaking amazing!!

Photo:Iheartit

ItIsOn is a company which is on the same lines as Groupon except its only for deals in Scotland and I find the deals way better in terms of its all top hotels/restaurants/events you have heard of and perhaps already go to. Occasionally they host their own events and deals and this was one of them.

It took place in a field right next to Edinburgh airport so provided the best backdrop for the other film showing available (Top Gun). I won the film choice though between me and my BF and The Notebook won. *hurray for Ryan*. they had various showings of each over the weekend and marketed it as Valentines date kinda thing.

It was so well organised and efficient. We drove in with almost no queuing (considering the volume of cars there) and received a valentines card from Gosling *it was real, don't ruin this for me* and a car window sticker. There was an area selling pizzas, nachos, drinks and snacks but we went to tescos beforehand and purchased a mountain of snacks.

View from our car
We tuned our car radio to the station they gave us and we got the volume right in our car so we didn't have to compete with others being noisy or whatever.
Seat back. Blanket out. Sweets opened. Watching the notebook. I was in heaven.

Close up of the biggest LED screen in the world :)

I loved it so much and really hope they make it a regular occurrence as I would go every time. It's way more fun than a conventional cinema where you have to be shhh and try hard not to make a noise opening your sweets.

Oh and "crying infront of strangers"? The cars are close enough to see inside each other's and if the guy looked in my car at the end of the film he would have seen me comforting a massive soggy tissue. I'm sorry but it's sad ok!!

Anybody experienced an outdoor drivein cinema? Is a thing from the past about to become a thing of the future?

An interview. So much potential.

Today I had a job interview.
My first proper grown up one.
And I was absolutely pooping my pants.

I don't think it would have been bad if I wasn't that fussed about the job but I really really want the job. I'd love a career in this sector which made me put the pressure on myself even more.

The first thing that left me sleepless was what to wear. I only got 2 days notice so was basically left to wear something I already had. I soon established that I don't own much formal clothes. I have my 'funeral trousers' and school shirts. So I made do with this and found a V-neck jumper and wore my posh jacket and scarf. Oh and shoes that were shiney and new that my mum let me borrow. Whilst walking to the front door of the building from the car I established that my shoes were Infact too big for me. Delightful. Note to everyone, have some formal clothes kicking about-you never know when you'll need them in a hurry.

I had to wait in a waiting area where I tried to sit straight whilst trying to 'sort myself' and ended up doing some breathing exercises. I tried to make myself more relaxed thinking about all sorts but really just wanted to get In there and get over it.

The first thing they said was 'just an informal chat' This made me feel I little bit more at ease. They spoke about the role then had abit background on the company. All the while they were talking I had all the answers to interview questions running around in my head.

They asked their first question and thought brilliant, let's go, let's show off....
Mind blank. Super. Brilliant. Can't think of anything. Whatttt on earth will I say??...

So I just blabbed myself through, answering as good as I can but knowing my answers weren't the best.

And now I feel deflated. Like I have ruined the one chance I had to get that job I wanted.

I'll find out my fate tomorrow.

Get the tissues (and cake) ready....

V Day

Valentines.
It's like marmite. Love it or hate it.
Personally I like it just to be totally awkward and wish everyone I see a happy valentines day, hand out love heart sweeties and ask what everyone is doing-dating or not I think everyone should be celebrating it just for one day to even make yourself a good dinner and get all the single girlfriends together and have a totally girly night.

(Image: iheartit)

I know I can say this and yous will be thinking, 'yeh, ok for her, she's loved up' That maybe true. But do we celebrate valentines? Not as much as I want. If I was a guy I would be showering my girl in roses, cooking the best meal, lighting every candle possible in the house and being a total cheeseball. In my relationship this doesn't happen unfortunately. Cards are exchanged. And perhaps a little gift is given. Nothing like what's suggested on johnlewis valentines ideas *mulberry cuff links?!* Just a little silly gift. And that's it. No singing, dancing, flowers sent to work, marching band, endless love heart shaped cookies and cakes. Hmmfff.

What are yous all doing for valentines? Do let me know. Are you single and loving it? In a relationship and feel let down?

A little about me....

Hi.

loving the outdoors gear

My name is Kerri.
Im a scorpio.
And I like long walks on the beach.
(says in cheesy accent like shes on Blind date)

Speaking of blind date, thats pretty old school now. Suppose it would be Take Me Out now. Such a cheeseball programme, I love it! Ha.

Im straying already. Gawd. Anyways, My name is Kerri. And I am a Scorpio. But long walks on the beach are annoying if you don't have the right shoes on, sand everywhere.
I live in Scotland where it is snowing right at this minute. Such a cliche Scottish moment.
Im 26, but look 18, and act 18. I am pretty immature.
Most of my friends are guys and we all hang out in a big group where being immature is top priority it seems!
I went to university for 4 years and graduated during the recession which was totes fun. I am still in the same job I had whilst I was at uni and that is an admin job in a supermarket. I like it, its good fun and always kept busy but its not really want I want to do.
I have a lovely boyfriend who I have been with for 8 years, always get the 'why yous not married yet?!' But, following on from previous, I still feel too young to get married and grow up!

Think that is about it to sum up my life in a nutshell basically. A little backbone so yous know who yous are reading about!
